A jeogori-cut blouse with cherry-blossom embroidery at the chest, in tonal pink thread. The name reads as cherry blossom. Reads spring without overreaching. Lightweight cotton blend, mother-of-pearl button placket.

Cherry blossoms, beotkkot, hold a complicated place in Korean visual culture. The blossoms are associated with the Japanese occupation in the older readings and with spring renewal in the younger.
The embroidery is in tonal pink thread, the petals catching light at slightly different angles than the base cloth. The work is held to the chest panel so the rest of the blouse stays clean. The lightweight cotton blend takes the embroidery without puckering. The mother-of-pearl placket closes cleanly.
