The sleeveless hanbok is the contemporary answer to August. Korean summers run hot and humid, and the long sleeve and lined bodice of the formal cuts were built for a different climate.
Yeoreum keeps the chima and the cheollik chest and removes the sleeve at the shoulder. The neckline opens slightly wider than the standard cut for cooling at the collarbone. The cotton-linen blend was chosen for breath, the bodice is lined to keep the line clean, the side zip stays hidden. The drape reads cool from across a room.
